About Turnchapel

Turnchapel is a small village located on the eastern bank of the river Plym, opposite the city of Plymouth. The village history dates to the 16th century when it was a busy fishing port. Today, Turnchapel is a popular destination for tourists who come to enjoy its picturesque scenery and tranquil atmosphere.

The village is surrounded by beautiful beaches and coves on the nearby Mountbatten peninsula and up to Wembury Head. Mountbatten is a popular spot for water sports, such as sailing, diving, and kayaking. The South West Coast path runs through the village so for those who are land based, there are plenty of walking and cycling trails to explore.

Proximity

The guest house is a 2–3-minute walk from Turnchapel Wharf and a 5–10-minute walk to Yachthaven Marina and Mountbatten Peninsula.
